A unique showcase for emerging visual artists and independent curators, PILOT:1 took place in London October 16-18 2004.

International curators, critics, artists and collectors were asked to nominate one artist they hold in high regard who does not have commercial representation. The selected artists were invited to take part in PILOT:1, an event hosted at Limehouse Town Hall, a spectacular Victorian building in the heart of East London's artist and gallery quarter.

Each artist submitted a work for exhibition, plus documentation of past projects and future proposals. Most importantly, they were invited to be present for the duration of the event to make contact with visiting curators, gallery owners, collectors, and form networks.
