Statement
Our recent work has mainly taken the form of feature-length films in which we appear as well as direct and write. They are documentary in origin, but our roles within the films are as live provocateurs rather than narrators, experiencing the journey of the film along with its participants. We continue to work in other media when the context of a commission demands it: In 2006, on a residency in rural Japan, we held a drawing workshop for villagers (see image) and began an ongoing project to develop a creative cottage business with village women. What interests us is the possibility of our work as a catalyst for personal or collective change.
