Jiyoon Lee is an independent curator and art critic who curated, organised and fundraised for contemporary art exhibitions in numerous venues in Europe and Far East Asia. She has also worked as lecturer for Ewha Woman’s University in Seoul Korea for the past years. Her projects include ‘Seoul: Until Now’ (Charlottenborg, Denmark, June 2005), ‘telltale’ (Ewha Art Center, Seoul, Korea, April 2005), enclosed(British Museum, London, May 2005), ‘east of eden’ (Victoria Miro Project Space, London 2003) ‘London Underground’ (Sungkok Museum (Seoul 2001), Taipei Fine Art Museum (2002)). Also as a serial project, she has been exploring a new type venue for the contemporary art exhibition in the Korean ambassadors’ private residencies: The State of the House (London 2001), The Taste of the House (Oslo 2004). She is also an active correspondent and writer, having published more than 50 articles and papers in art journals.
